Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information YardCalc does and does not handle. It reflects how the site works today and uses plain language.

1. Scope
This policy covers https://getyardcalc.com and the calculators and content on it. It does not cover other websites you reach through links.
2. Information you provide directly
YardCalc has no account system and no contact form. The only way you share information with us is by sending an email. When you email us, we receive your address and whatever you choose to write.
3. Information collected automatically
YardCalc does not run its own analytics. Like most websites, the hosting provider that serves the site may keep standard server request logs, such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested, for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to identify you.
4. Calculator inputs
The numbers and options you enter into a calculator are processed in your browser to show a result. These inputs are not sent to a YardCalc server or database. If you use a share link, your inputs are encoded into the link you choose to copy or send. They are not stored by us.
5. Local browser processing
Calculations run entirely in your browser. YardCalc does not save your inputs to local storage or cookies between visits.
6. Analytics
YardCalc does not currently use analytics tools. If analytics are added in the future, this policy and the cookie policy will be updated before they are enabled.
7. Advertising
YardCalc does not currently show ads or use advertising cookies or identifiers. If advertising is added later, this policy and the cookie policy will be updated, and any required consent controls will be put in place first.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
YardCalc does not set tracking cookies. For details about browser storage and your controls, see the cookie policy.
9. Email communications
If you email us, we use your message only to respond and to improve the site. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or government identification numbers by email.
10. Third-party links and services
Some pages link to outside resources such as suppliers or reference material. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
11. Data retention
We keep emails only as long as needed to handle your request and keep a reasonable record. Hosting server logs are retained according to the hosting provider settings.
12. Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children's privacy
YardCalc is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
14. US state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, where required by law. Because YardCalc does not build user profiles, the main information we hold is any email you send. To make a request, contact us using the email below.
15. International visitors
YardCalc is operated for users in the United States. If you visit from another country, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for local laws that apply to you.

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest review.
