Privacy Policy

This policy covers https://getyardcalc.com and the calculators and content on it. It does not cover other websites you reach through links.

YardCalc has no account system and no contact form. The only way you share information with us is by sending an email. When you email us, we receive your address and whatever you choose to write.

YardCalc uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are used and how the site performs, as described in section 6. Separately, and like most websites, the hosting provider that serves the site may keep standard server request logs, such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested, for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to identify you.

The numbers and options you enter into a calculator are processed in your browser to show a result. These inputs are not sent to a YardCalc server or database. If you use a share link, your inputs are encoded into the link you choose to copy or send. They are not stored by us.

Calculations run entirely in your browser. YardCalc does not save your inputs to local storage or cookies between visits.

YardCalc uses Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are visited and how the site performs. It records things like the pages you view, how you arrived, your approximate location, and your device and browser type, and it may set cookies or similar identifiers to recognize a return visit. This is aggregate measurement: we use it to decide which calculators to build and to find pages that are slow or broken, not to identify you.

Your calculator inputs are never sent to Google Analytics or to any other service. Google processes this data on our behalf under its own terms; you can read how Google handles data from sites that use its services in Google's partner-sites notice. Most browsers and several extensions can block analytics scripts entirely, and doing so does not affect any calculator on this site.

YardCalc uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may set cookies or read device identifiers to serve and measure those ads, and may use your IP address, approximate location, and browsing activity on this site for that purpose. This happens on Google's systems, not ours: YardCalc does not receive, store, or sell the data Google collects, and your calculator inputs are never sent to any ad service.

YardCalc sets no cookies of its own. The cookies you may receive come from Google Analytics and Google AdSense, both described above. For details and your controls, see the cookie policy.

If you email us, we use your message only to respond and to improve the site. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or government identification numbers by email.

Some pages link to outside resources such as suppliers or reference material. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

We keep emails only as long as needed to handle your request and keep a reasonable record. Hosting server logs are retained according to the hosting provider settings.

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

YardCalc is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, where required by law. Because YardCalc does not build user profiles, the main information we hold is any email you send. To make a request, contact us using the email below.

YardCalc is operated for users in the United States. If you visit from another country, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for local laws that apply to you.

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest review.
