Cookie Policy
This page explains how YardCalc uses cookies and browser storage. The short version is that YardCalc sets no cookies of its own, and the only cookies you may receive come from Google Analytics and Google AdSense.

What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small files a website can store in your browser. Local storage is a related way to keep small amounts of data in the browser. Both can be used for essential features or for tracking.
What YardCalc currently uses
YardCalc sets no cookies of its own and does not save your calculator inputs to cookies or local storage. Calculations run in your browser, and share links carry inputs only inside the link you choose to copy. Your browser may keep its own standard cache, which YardCalc does not control or read.
The exceptions are analytics and advertising: Google Analytics measures how the site is used, and Google AdSense serves the ads, and each may set its own cookies. Both are described below. Your calculator inputs are never sent to either one.
Essential storage
No custom essential cookies are required to use the calculators. The tools work without storing anything between visits.
Analytics cookies
YardCalc uses Google Analytics 4, which may set cookies or similar identifiers to tell a returning visit from a new one and to measure how the site is used. These are set by Google, not by YardCalc, and they carry no information you have typed into a calculator.
Blocking analytics cookies, or blocking the script outright with a browser setting or extension, does not affect any calculator on this site. Everything here runs in your browser and works the same either way.
Advertising cookies
YardCalc uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or read device identifiers on this site to serve ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure performance. These cookies are set by Google, not by YardCalc, and YardCalc does not receive or store the data they collect.
You can turn off ad personalization in Google My Ad Center. Turning it off does not remove ads; it makes them less specific to you.
Third-party cookies
Google Analytics and Google AdSense are the only third parties able to set cookies on this site. How Google uses data from sites that run its services is described in Google's partner-sites notice. Pages may also link to other websites, which can set their own cookies under their own policies, not this one.
Cookie duration categories
Cookies are usually grouped as session cookies, which end when you close the browser, or persistent cookies, which last for a set time. Google's analytics and advertising cookies include both kinds, and their lifetimes are set by Google rather than by YardCalc.
Browser controls
You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. The calculators run entirely in your browser and do not depend on cookies, so blocking them does not affect any result on this site.
Consent choices
YardCalc is operated for users in the United States, where advertising cookies of this kind do not require a consent banner, so none is shown. Where consent is legally required, Google's own consent tooling applies to the ads it serves. You can also use the browser controls and ad settings described above at any time.
Updates
This page will be updated if the way YardCalc uses cookies or storage changes. The review date appears at the top.
